Tech for Seniors
Make a difference in the life of an older adult and gain wonderful experience working with elders! Young adults are being sought for a pilot Tech for Seniors project. You will help provide older adults with tech support, education, and social connection. This project is a partnership between Community Congregational Development Group, the South County Action Network, Sarsis, and two low-income senior apartment complexes in the South Bay. IPads will be given to the older adults and in-person (following COVID precautions) and virtual training is given to them (both in groups and one-on-one) for six months to improve their digital literacy and reduce their social isolation.
We would love to have you join this effort! Students who are bilingual in English/Spanish are particularly needed. Please see more information about where to apply on the attached flyers. For more information, you can also contact Oscar Talaro at firstname.lastname@example.org .
