Join UC San Diego students, staff, faculty and alumni for the annual San Diego Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Day of Service. This year, UC San Diego will be volunteering at Mission Bay High School. Volunteers will help with various projects, including landscaping, painting and organizing classrooms.
As one of two International Baccalaureate (IB) high schools in the San Diego Unified School District, MBHS serves a diverse student population with incredibly dedicated teachers and staff. As a magnet school and a Federal Title I institution, MBHS serves high school students from all over the San Diego area. UC San Diego students currently volunteer at MBHS through the Education Corps program to serve students involved in a robust after-school tutoring program. UCSD is proud to partner with MBHS to improve the educational experience for their students. More information about MBHS can be found here: https://www.sandiegounified.org/schools/mission-bay/welcome.
Light breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided. Transportation to and from campus will be available for a limited number of UC San Diego community members.
