Join UC San Diego students, staff, faculty and alumni for the annual San Diego Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Day of Service. This year, UC San Diego will be volunteering at Baker Elementary School located in the Mountain View community of San Diego. Volunteers will help with various projects, including landscaping, painting and organizing classrooms.
As a Federal Title I school, the teachers and staff of Baker Elementary are truly dedicated to quality education and improving the lives of their student population, along with the surrounding community. More information about Baker Elementary can be found here:
Following the service project, volunteers are encouraged to join UC San Diego for the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade downtown.
Light breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided. Transportation to and from campus will be available for a limited number of UC San Diego community members, and from the service project to the parade.
